My end-of-study internship is part of a research project on the use of NoSQL models in the decision-making domain. The objective of this internship was to migrate multidimensional data warehouses to document-oriented or column-oriented NOT-ONLY-SQL (NoSQL) systems. These systems are currently being developed to cope with the volume that data management systems must support. The use of NoSQL models in the decision-making domain is a good opportunity for building data warehouses that can support Big Data in a highly distributed environment. The interest in NoSQL models is motivated on the one hand, by the advent of massive data (Big Data) and on the other hand, by the inability of the relational model, usually used to implement the data warehouses, has enabled the transition to a very large scale, particularly in the context of big data. On the other hand, column-oriented or document-oriented data storage is more suitable for multidimensional data structure. For the construction of data warehouses for big data we have studied different clustering algorithms (such as: k-means, k-medoid and clarans) to build the right family of columns for column-oriented databases.
